This four-star cottage for two has a magnificent floor to ceiling picture window providing unrestricted views across fields and the Glyn Valley. Folding doors open onto a terrace with outside seating. The gable-end window gives the high ceiling open plan kitchen diner and lounge a truly spacious feel.

There is a smart wall-mounted TV with Netflix included. A fire hologram stove gives a cosy warmth and glow to supplement central heating.

Everything is to a high modern specification including a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, grill, hob and fridge.

The bedroom has ample storage space and a king-sized bed. The room is large enough to accommodate a cot or toddler bed. There is a separate shower room.

The cottage is named after the Skirrid, which is the most eastern peak in the Black Mountains. The isolated hill is 486m high (1,594ft) and the Welsh name is Ysgyryd Fawr.
